Get On The List!

August 13th, 2010 heralds the release of what could possibly be the best movie of 2010, The Expendables. The Expendables movie which is written and directed by Sylvester Stallone of Rocky and Rambo fame and he also stars in the movie as it’s central character Barney Ross. If you haven’t seen the trailers you are probably thinking ‘great, not another Stallone, movie has had his day and now wants to write and direct so he can get another shot on screen’. However there is nothing old, routine or boring about this movie that promises to be action packed.

most notable is the star studded cast of Hollywood’s greatest action heroes, villains and fighters. The line up includes; Jason Statham (Crank & Transporter), Bruce Willis, wrestler Steve Austin, Dolph Lundgren, UFC champ Randy Couture, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the legendary martial arts master Jet Li. Clearly not your average movie. In fact it must be hard to find another movie ever made with such an impressive cast of action heroes and real life martial arts masters and fighters. The Expendables movie is certainly one that you will not want to miss on the big screen or will be kicking yourself for a long time to come.

The plot of The Expendables movie is that a team of elite mercenaries including Jason Statham and Jet Li, led by Barney Ross (aka Sylvester Stallone) is sent on a covert mission supposedly commissioned by the CIA to overthrow a dictator on a small island, only to run into some serious confrontation including Dolph and Steve Austin. This results in them leaving the leading lady behind to face certain death, expect of course they must go back and rescue her.

Whatever you do this summer don’t miss this top notch martial arts training movie. This definitely promises to be one of those legendary films that you just have to own, if nothing else just to see this cast all in one place…
