Getting started in Taekwondo could prove to be a little more expensive than other arts that require little more than a uniform. With TKD, you will need to purchase a Taekwondo uniform ($40 – $90 on average) along with head gear, hand protection, foot pads, chest protection, and groin protection.
This may drive costs up quite a bit as you would be looking at around $200 to purchase the best of the best in terms of protective equipment.
This may seem like a lot but it really is not. High quality equipment will literally last a decade and you can feel confident that during this timeframe you can train safely and effectively.
