The most popular name in women’s Mixed Martial Arts is going to make a comeback to the sport. Gina Carano confirmed that she will be coming 
back to the Strikeforce cage this year.
While at the Strikeforce: Fedor versus Silva event on Saturday, the 7-1 Carano was in attendance. During the evening she appeared to make the announcement of her return. An exact date or opponent has not been named at this time.
Carano was last seen when she faced off against Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos in August of 2009. This was the first time that a women’s fight was the main event of a MMA card. Santos was able to defeat Carano by first round TKO. Since then, Carano has taken part in other projects such as the movie “Haywire” which is set to release this year.
