The Ultimate Fighter is a popular reality based television show in which gives professional fighters the opportunitiy to compete for a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The show is entering its 13th season and filming has begun in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, fight fans may get to see this show expand to other countries very soon.
UFC President Dana White has announced that the Ultimate Fighter series will soon be expanding to other countries around the world.
“The Ultimate Fighter is gonna start airing in every country,” White said. “We’re gonna start doing Ultimate Fighter UK, Ultimate Fighter Canada, Ultimate Fighter Philippines.” White also stated that he believed the first edition will take place in the Philippines.
Mixed martial arts has continued to grow across the world with the emergence of international stars such as Georges St. Pierre, Jose Aldo, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and many more. The UFC has already begun to take steps in the direction of strengthening their hold on the global market.
