A good solid choice is the following formula which can help determine the basic degree of strength to shoot for. Connect the load class you fight at instead of your normal weight. If you walk around at 200 pounds however, you fight at 185 pounds, use 185 pounds as the multiplier.

In a world of negative news stories we wanted to write about a positive story going on in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.  I know if you are like me you are tired of reading about the national debt and ‘debt ceiling’ so here is someone that is turning negativity into positivity in his life.  So, sit back and enjoy a few minutes of a feel good story in the world of MMA.

Who wears day-glo, candy striped, multi-colored shorts for an MMA match? That has their mother really hands craft them for him? Who really adopts a fight after being introduced as “Fancy Pants”? Who did annually along with a day inside a Washington Condition Penitentiary for crimes associated with a meth addiction, got launched from that prison and won his first amateur fight just 8 days later?

MMA Workout Routine – Cardio Routine for MMA Fighters

There are many aspects to becoming a successful Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Elite MMA fighters will train in several fighting disciplines. Many successful MMA fighters started their fighting career in one fighting style and through training have successfully evolved into a more complete fighter through several disciplines. An example would be a former collegiate wrestler will cross-train in boxing and other martial arts to compete at the highest fighting levels. However, it doesn’t matter how good your skills are at wrestling, boxing or any other martial art if you are lacking cardiovascular endurance. Great fighters can become virtually defenseless if they run out of steam during a fight. Without proper oxygen to the lungs, it becomes difficult to simply hold your hands up. Cardio training is an important ingredient in any fighters training regimen.

The Paleo Diet has hit the MMA scene and exploded but there are still a lot of us out here that don’t understand exactly what it is.  So, we looked around and found some information about this hot diet and how someone can apply it to their lifestyle.

This diet is all about the wild natural foods to help achieve great health. The human body evolved for more than 2 million years with the food found in nature: game meat, fish, vegetables, wild fruits, eggs and nuts.
