MMA Training: Using Tempo Intervals

A lot of athletes ask us about cardiovascular training and one great way to get the best type of training is the new tempo interval cardio training. Tempo training is a mix between LSD and HIIT and they are not the full out intensity training you are seeing a lot of these days. This lower intensity has proven to be effective in various training situations and phases of training.

Can you believe in the ‘Hard Nosed’ sport of Mixed Martial Arts there are actually some fighters that don’t tear into the flesh of animals for their diet.  When you think of the best fighters in the world you image them sitting around a table filled with steak, lamb, potatoes, and beer but that just isn’t the case.  There are actually fighters who don’t partake of meat while at the dinner table.  Some of the more notable and  ‘out of the closet’ MMA Fighers that are Vegans are:

Learn Karate – How to Master the Knife-Hand Strike

You might have heard it known as the edge-of-the-hand strike, ax hand, the shuto, as well as the thousand-hand strike. No matter which martial arts you’ve studied there will probably be some sort of version of it from Karate, Taekwondo to Kung Fu. In each and every kata from those practiced in the Kodokan to those carried out at Kukkiwon. So, how did this generalized method make it practically into each and every martial arts and kata?
