Advanced MMA Training Workout Routine

To begin in mixed martial arts and make it to the elite level of the UFC a fighter must posses a good deal of strength. This strength and mma strength workout routinepower will help you out in several areas: throwing punches, on the ground, and in the clinch.  Strength and conditioning specifically for MMA must be done through training you functional strength.  This is not the same workout routine that a bodybuilder would use in the gym to grow their muscles.  Functional strength is what some commonly refer to as ‘farm boy strength’.  It is that strength that can’t be created on the bench press, in the squat rack, or doing tons of curls.

Is the elevation training mask any good?

Many people are asking if there is any validity behind the Sean Sherk training mask so we thought we would shed some light on this question.  We have seen the questions like, “is this a gimmick or can it be used for real MMA Training” or “will this really increase my lung capacity or increase my oxygen intake?”.  So, we did some investigating and here is what we found.

Cardiovascular endurance is an important part of any fighter’s preparation before competing. It’s important that you have the ability to fight the full length of the battle without losing too much energy and strength. Doing so will place you at a dangerous disadvantage if your opponent is better prepared. Interval training is one way to improve your stamina for competition.
