Ninja Swords Throughout the centuries, there are a lot of swords fighting techniques that have been practiced and established by the sons of martial art. Nowadays, there are variety number of blade techniques which are usually used by the bladed weapons like katana – ninja swords, saber, dagger, sword, knife and samurai swords. These techniques are the combination of all the distributions from our forefather martial artist who are experts in using these kinds of weapons. Training with swords can certainly help you improve your physical and emotional discipline. Besides, there are several sword training routines which can help you increase your concentration and mental abilities subsequently. Sword fighting methods are classified into two, the single handed and double handed.

Competition Swords

This polished aluminum blade has a wooden handle and scabbard with a red belting cord. The rectangular aluminum hand guard has an engraved dragon motif. Sword can be put back in its sheath with blade facing up or facing down. Blade is not sharpened.

3 Important factors When Purchasing a Japanese Sword

There are various styles of Japanese swords, or nihonto, available today. Both antique swords as well as modern versions can be purchased depending on your preferences. Some of today’s Japanese swords are manufactured, but the authentic swords are made by swordsmiths. The various types of Japanese swords are classified by their size and also the manufacturing method.

The Katana is the most common type of Japanese swords and is a long, single-edged sword with a curved blade. Katana’s were used by the Samurai as early as the 1400′s. Samurai’s were Japanese warriors in feudal Japan and were considered to be a nobility military class. The Samurai used a wide variety of weapons, including spears, manrikigusari, and the bow and arrows, but the most common weapons used by the Japanese Samurai was know as the Katana.
