Bokator and Khmer Traditional Wrestling

Bokator is an indigenous martial art that was developed by the Khmer people and used by the ancient armies of Angkor. It is thought to be the predecessor of all Southeast Asian kickboxing styles. Also known as labok katao, it is an extremely complex system that has a total of 341 different styles.  Bokator contains a number of locks, strikes, holds, and submissions.

Muay Boran Style Martial Arts

Different Types of Martial Arts Series

A predecessor of Muay Thai, and from a basic look you could easily confuse this with Muay Thai.  However, muay boran is believed to be more than 2,000 years old. The training regime was probably developed by or borrowed from the ancient military. While different forms have evolved in Thailand, some experts believe the art may have originated in Cambodia.
