Background of the Tokaido:
The Tokaido uniform has been worn by many Shotokan practioneers. They come in two different styles; first a traditonal cut, and secondly a Tournament cut style. The cloth produced in Japan is a No.10 canvas for both styles. The weight of the cloth is 12oz. canvas. The cloth has an extremely tight weave which provides a loud snap. This truly is the Rolls Royce of the martial arts uniforms.
